Doug Revell Memorial Concert - The Native Oyster Band
Wednesday 26th June 2024 8:00 PM
Walthamstow Hall (Main Hall)
A brass band with a difference, evolved from a community street band in Whitstable, now an extraordinary, funky, powerful New Orleans sounding blend of blues, R & B, Americana and jazz, with diverse influences such as T-Bone Walker, Dr John, Charlie Parker and others too many to mention! A truly upbeat experience with David Migden (vocals, trumpet), Ivan Thompson (sax, clarinet, vocals), Katy Windsor (sax, vocals), Tom Pascoe (tuba, euphonium) Alan King (drums) & Steven Higgs (guitar)
The Doug Revell Memorial concert takes place annually, in memory of Doug, founder of the Blues with Bottle Club, which is celebrating 30 years of free live music. All proceeds will be in aid of West Kent Mind. Huge thanks to our sponsors!
